The National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento is the largest exhibition space in Italian history, the oldest and most important museum dedicated to the Italian Risorgimento. The museum, which was completely re-opened and reopened in 2011, dates back to 1878, when Turin, following the transfer of the capital, wanted to underline its contribution to the process of national unification.
